Discovery Child Care
is an accredited and
licensed family
child care program
that opened its
doors in 1986 in
Scottsdale, Arizona.
Owners Sharon and
Joe Stricchiola
began the program as
a means of keeping
in touch with their
own child, Danielle,
while coping with
the day to day
responsibilities of
owning their own
restaurant as well.
Today, combining the
educational and
developmental
experience Sharon
has gained over the
years along with
Joe’s culinary
prowess brings forth
a team that has
prepared hundreds of
young minds for
their introduction
into an academic
world. |

| Open to children ages twenty two months through six years old, Discovery Child Care's vision is to nurture children with love while helping to develop their self esteem in a safe and private daycare environment with individual care where children can grow physically, spiritually, emotionally and academically. A few of the many benefits that Discovery Child Care brings to children include a private playground promoting physical and social health, a music and art program aimed at promoting creativity, and the Funsteps, Inc. educational curriculum which helps prepare children f or their next challenge as they move on to a full academic schedule. |

(License # SGH 4427)
and is also Certified by
the USDA’s Child
Care Food Program.
We provide childcare
to residents of
Phoenix and
Scottsdale. While being
Accredited by the
National Association
for Family Child
Care (NAFCC), Sharon
Stricchiola has also
earned credentials
as a Child
Development
Associate (CDA). |
